As housing cropped up in the suburbs surrounding the Twin Cities, so did shopping centers and other conveniences. This center was located at Penn Avenue South and 66th Street in Richfield. Marian Maxson could walk or ride her bicycle from her home on W. 68th Street to shop here in the 1940s.
