Minnesota's Greatest Generation

Adult education program at CCC camp, Maple Lake

Evening adult education programs at Civilian Conservation Corps camps offered young men the opportunity to continue their education while gainfully employed. Many boys were able to finish the necessary studies to complete their elementary or high school coursework in preparation for leaving camp. The boys pictured here are absorbed in their school work at the CCC camp in Maple Lake, 1938.
