USS Arizona burning after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor

Among the three ships to be totally destroyed by the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the USS Arizona and her crew suffered the worst fate. Hit in her ammunition magazine by an armor-piercing torpedo, the Arizona exploded into a raging ball of fire, killing more than 1100 of her crew.
