The Berman family of Minneapolis took advantage of the V-Mail program. Isabel Berman would take dictation from the children typing or writing out what they wished to say to their father, who was stationed in Europe. This sampling of letters from the Reuben Berman and Family Papers in the Minnesota Historical Society Collections shows the warmth, wisdom, and humor shared by a family separated by war.
