Elizabeth (B.J.) Hughes Gersey was one of 94 World War II veterans from the Minnesota to visit Washington, DC with the Twin Cities Honor Flight group in September 2008. This photograph was taken just as she walked into the terminal at Ronald Reagan National Airport, where she and the other veterans were greeted by a small army of volunteers.
