Minnesota's Greatest Generation

Men looking at blueprints, outside Bloomington High School, 1958

The suburb of Bloomington built its first high school (shown here) in 1957. Originally known as Bloomington High School, the name was later changed to Lincoln High School.

As the Baby Boomers graduated and enrollment began to drop, many schools throughout Minnesota were closed and repurposed. Lincoln High School was closed in June 1982 and was sold to Control Data in 1984. In 2002 Bloomington Community Education began to lease space in the building.
