"For All We Hold Dear - Buy War Bonds"

Advertising for war bond campaigns to raise funds to finance the war effort appealed to the better nature of Americans. Posters, like this one, represented the values of home and family, and emphasized the importance of protecting such values. By 1945, 85 million Americans held war bonds.
