Brownie Scouts from Richfield boarding a train for an outing

Scouting was a popular activity with children of the Baby Boom, and their parents were often involved as scout leaders. Marian Maxson of Richfield was a scout leader for her daughter's troop of Brownie Scouts. This photograph shows the troop ready to board a train for a day trip in the late 1940s.
