Bill Cameron and his bride, Marjorie Pelton, met in 1950 at the University of Minnesota where Bill was a student at the School of Veterinary Medicine, and Marj was an undergraduate student majoring in Spanish. Marj finished her degree in December 1951, and the couple married on March 19, 1952. Bill received his DVM degree in June, and he and his bride moved to Luverne, Minnesota, where he began a small animal veterinary practice.
