Civilian Conservation Corps camps were all laid out in a standard way, as shown on this 1937 camp plan. Four barracks, each housing 50 men, were lined up on one side of the camp with garages for work vehicles behind them, and the camp recreation hall, education building, and infirmary bordered the other side. The mess hall and offices stood at either end.
This plan was draw up for CCC Company 3701, Camp SP-1, in Itasca State Park.
