Cooks at Civilian Conservation Corps camp near Tofte

"An army marches on its stomach," and so did the Civilian Conservation Corps. In the midst of the Great Depression that left many families without the necessities of life, food was plentiful for the boys of the CCC. Strict rules governed camp dining rooms, and camp cooks held full sway.
