Children's Occupation Statistics, 1930 U.S. Census

Children often took jobs to help their families during the hard years of the Great Depression. These 1930 U.S. Census pages clearly show that hundreds of Minnesota's children, aged 10 to 17, were "gainfully employed" in jobs ranging from newsboy to farm worker.
