Elizabeth (BJ) Hughes Gersey, christening the USS Passaconaway

B.J. Gersey, the first Duluth woman to enlist in the WAVES, was chosen by the ship company's owner to christen the Navy net tender U.S.S. Passaconaway in Duluth in June 1944.
