Minnesota's Greatest Generation

CCC field worker's shirt

Many CCCers wore utilitarian denim work shirts like this when outdoors. The metal buttons are marked "U. S. Army," a reminder of authority in the camps. This shirt belonged to Johnny Buskowiak (1922-) while he served in Companies 2709, Camp Plainview, and 713, Camp Lake City.
