As part of the 1928 analysis of state child labor laws, the National Child Labor Committee ranked each state according to school attendance and length of school year. This document shows that Minnesota ranked 20th for school attendance, with 93.9% of children aged 7 to 14 regularly attending school. The state ranked 10th in length of school year, with an average of 180.6 days in session, compared with the national average of 169.6 days.
