While some women chose to pursue careers in fields previously dominated by men, Emily Day of Richfield decided to go back to school to get an education degree so that she could teach. Her children were school-age by the time she took her first job with the Richfield school district, and her work schedule coincided with their school day so that she could be home with them after school.
