To honor Minnesota's Greatest Generation's legacy of freedoms preserved, the Thormodsgaard brothers of Gaardhouse Productions produced a short documentary film highlighting the Twin Cities Honor Flight that carried 94 World War II veterans and their Guardians to Washington, DC on September 13, 2008 to visit the World War II, United States Marine Corps (Iwo Jima), Women in Military Service for America, and Korean War Memorials. This short film, produced in just five days, was entered in the 2008 Minnesota's Greatest Generation "Moving Pictures" Film Festival and received an Honorable Mention. A copy of the film was given to each participant of the flight as a keepsake.
