"V-Mail" letters received by B.J. Gersey from her family

For those serving in the military during World War II, mail served as a cherished link to loved ones back home. In recognition of this, the organizers of the Twin Cities Honor Flight program arranged to have messages written on facsimile "V-Mail" letter forms for each veteran traveling to Washington, DC. The messages shown here were written to Elizabeth (B.J.) Hughes Gersey by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and reflect the love and pride they feel in her service to her country.
