Thoughts of home and family were both a comfort and a torment to those far from home during World War II. Anne Bosanko Green, stationed in California, thought about her family's favorite Easter Sunday activities back in Minneapolis, such as a stroll around Lake Harriet. This 1944 photograph shows the walking path around Lake Harriet.
