Rapid-fire home construction in the Twin Cities suburbs in the late 1940s and 1950s helped to ease the severe post-war housing shortage. As many as 100 new homes per month were being built in suburbs like Richfield and St. Louis Park.
This 1957 photograph shows a home under construction at 6444 Twelfth Avenue South in Richfield.
