Following Yeoman training in Oklahoma, Irene Levin was sent to the US Naval Station near Astoria, Oregon. Her duties there were to interview officers as they arrived on ships, and produce orders for their next assignments on a mimeograph machine. Irene is pictured here while stationed at Astoria.
