With the end of the war raw materials were once again relegated to manufacturing. A stronger economy gave Americans more purchasing power, and they were eager to obtain the latest in convenience appliances for the home. This model kitchen, photographed in 1947, shows a modern range and refrigerator, a sink with hot and cold running water, an electric mixer, toaster, coffee percolator, and kitchen radio.
