As a local civil rights leader, Matthew Little took on the responsibility of chairing the Minnesota delegation that attended the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on August 28, 1963. The delegation, just part of the 250,000 marchers, had the privilege of hearing Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. deliver his now-famious "I Have a Dream" speech at the Lincoln Memorial.
