The post-war housing crunch spurred on a boom in construction, particularly in the first-ring suburbs of Minneapolis and St. Paul. The Maxson family beat the rush by building this classic home in Richfield in 1940. The house cost $5,300 to build, and featured two bedrooms, a breezeway, and an attached garage.
