General Eisenhower hosted the McKeogh's wedding reception on December 16, 1944, in spite of the war developments in Belgium - the start of the Battle of the Bulge. The General stayed a short time at the reception before excusing himself to attend to war business.
In this photograph the bride offers the General a piece of wedding cake.
