Miracle Mile shopping center opened on Excelsior Boulevard and Highway 100 in St. Louis Park in 1951. It featured a Snyder's Drug store, a Red Owl grocery store, and a W.T. Grant variety store, along with a range of smaller shops offering everything from baked goods and meats to home decorating supplies. While the original stores have been replaced by stores reflecting more current shopping interests, Miracle Mile continues to draw customers from the surrounding area.
