Minnesota's Greatest Generation

Montfort Dunn, ca. 1950s

When the Sworskys had twins in 1947, Ed's health insurance benefits had not yet become active and the couple was faced with a hospital bill they couldn't pay. Fortunately Ed was able to turn to his friend, Montfort (Monte) Dunn, for a loan. Ed Sworsky had served as a companion to Montfort's mother, Mrs. Alice Dunn, before World War II, and had become friends with her son.
