Word War II Parachute Jumper Coat and Trousers

Jacket

U.S. Army parachute jumper coat constructed of olive drab cotton twill with metal clasp buttons. Zippered front closure with a prongless bar buckle at the waist. Two breast pockets and two patch pockets. L-shaped tear at elbow of left sleeve. Coat worn by Arnold Gustafson, Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry, 82nd Airborne Division during World War II.

Trousers

U.S. Army parachute jumper trousers constructed of olive drab cotton twill. Five-button fly with a large cargo pocket on each thigh. Right knee has been patched from the inside, and there is an open tear just below the patch. Trousers worn by Arnold Gustafson, Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry, 82nd Airborne Division during World War II.
