Charles M. "Stubbie" Pearson was a student at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire when the United States entered World War II. As class Valedictorian, he spoke to his graduating class of duty to country. Putting his beliefs into action, he organized a group of 30 classmates who enlisted to form the Dartmouth Squadron.
