Parent-Teacher Associations (PTA) thrived in the 1950s as the Baby Boom generation came of school age. Concerned mothers across Minnesota volunteered to assist with fundraisers to benefit their children's schools and to organize events.
The four moms in this photograph participated in a variety show fundraiser for the Highland Park Elementary School in St. Paul.
