"Pumpkin Joe" Greenstein earned his title through his unique generosity toward school children in north Minneapolis. Each year Joe would host "Pumpkin Day" at his grocery store. He acquired hundreds of pumpkins from area growers for free distribution to his little patrons. This photograph shows "Pumpkin Joe" with some of his youthful admirers.
