R. John Buskowiak enrolled in the Civilian Conservation Corps on July 7, 1938 before his final year of high school, and was sent to Camp #2709 in Plainview, Minnesota. He received an honorable discharge on October 13th to return home and finish school. John is pictured here on the steps of his barracks, wearing the uniform of a CCC enrollee.
