Minnesota's Greatest Generation

Cream separator

Cream separators are used to remove cream from milk. As the separator spins, centrifugal force carries the heavier milk away while the cream remains at the center. This model was the largest of four separators produced by the Galloway Company. It could process two gallons of cream every minute, and handle milk from up to 20 cows. This separator was used on a farm in Anoka.
