Minnesota's Greatest Generation

Lloyd and Lester Shold, conducting a milk testing demonstration

One of the benefits of 4-H Club membership was the opportunity to learn skills useful to a career in farming. The Shold brothers of Cook County took part in dairying projects. They conducted a milk testing demonstration at the State Fair. Milk was tested for butterfat content. The richer the milk, the greater its value on the market.
