The war savings stamp was a patriotic program used by the United States Treasury Department to help fund participation in World War II, and was principally aimed at school-age children. Stamps were available in 10, 25 and 50 cent, and $1 and $5 denominations, and were redeemable for Defense Bonds or War Bonds.
