Doris Shea and Errol Fox planned to be married in October 1944 in Minnesota, but when the groom was sent to California with no leave, the pair canceled the wedding, and Doris packed her gown and followed him there. The couple was married in one of three chapels in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale California on December 27, 1944.
