Selina (Lee) Eccles and Edmond Sworsky, wedding day, 1945

It didn't take long for Lee Eccles, a native of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England and member of the British Women's Auxiliary Air Force to decide to marry Edmond Sworsky of the US Army 2nd Ranger Battalion. The couple tied the knot in uniform on August 16, 1945. Ed returned to the States in November of that year and, once the immigration paperwork was completed, Lee came the following March.
