Dr. Glen H. Nelson was invited back to the University of Minnesota's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 to share the story of the beginning of the school with current veterinary students. Following the talk, Dr. Nelson received cards from the classes of 2009, 2010, and 2011 expressing appreciation for the contributions he and his fellow pre-veterinary students made toward getting the school established in 1947 - a school that today is one of the most respected veterinary training centers in the country.
This legacy is one that began with Dr. Nelson's own class - the class of 1951 - and continues to the present day.
