Minnesota Governor Harold LeVander presented the Sports Illustrated 25th Anniversary All American award to Curtis Pearson, brother of honoree, the late Charles M. "Stubbie" Pearson in 1967. Looking on in the photograph are Charles' mother, Mrs. Thina Pearson, and nephew, Charles Milton Pearson II.

Charles Pearson, killed in action in World War II, was the only honoree to receive the award posthumously. He was nominated by Dartmouth College, where he was an outstanding scholar and athlete. 1967.
