One of the primary training stations for Minnesota girls entering the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps (WAAC - later Women's Army Corps, or WAC) was Fort Des Moines, Iowa. This postcard portfolio was likely purchased at the post exchange, and kept as a souvenir.
This postcard portfolio is part of the Emily Schmid Larkin Scrapbooks, 1943-1946, in the Minnesota Historical Society's Manuscripts Collection.
