Minnesota's Greatest Generation

Pamphlet: The WAC

The Women's Army Corps (WAC) played an important role in helping to win World War II. Initiated in 1943 when the first women were inducted for service, the WAC would have a total 150,000 women on its service roles by the end of the war. WACS served their country both at home and abroad.

This pamphlet gives a brief history of the service of the Women's Army Corps in the European Theater of Operations.
