Two hundred volunteers from the Washington, DC area helped to make the Honor Flight trip a memorable experience for all involved. The volunteers pictured here met the group upon their arrival at Ronald Reagan National Airport. They waved flags, shook hands and thanked the veterans for their service. They handed out poppies to the men and pinned small corsages on the women. The warmth of the reception given by the volunteers brought tears to the eyes of veterans and guardians alike.
