With servicemen needed abroad, all branches of the U.S. military recognized the value of recruiting women to fill positions that would release men for combat duty. This poster, created by Steele Savage in 1944, appealed to the patriotism of women aged 20 to 35 to prompt them to enlist in the Women's Army Corps, the Navy WAVES, Marine Corps Women's Reserve, and the Coast Guard SPARs.
